The Pays des Impressionnistes is an area centred around the Impressionist painters and the River Seine.  It currently consists of eight communes - Carrières-sur-Seine, Chatou, Croissy-sur-Seine, Le Pecq, Le Port-Marly, Louveciennes, Marly-le-Roi and Rueil-Malmaison - which together form a highly diverse and varied tourist offering.

It is also one of the “competencies” undertaken by the SIVOM des Coteaux de Seine (public institution formed by local districts).

Since 2005, there has been close collaboration between the Tourist Office of Marly-le-Roi and the SIVOM to conduct a number of promotional campaigns.

In 2010, the region’s communes decided that they needed their own tool to develop local tourism.  After looking at a number of options, they chose to entrust the Marly-le-Roi Tourist Office with the task.

In 2011, this became the Office de Tourisme du Pays des Impressionnistes, responsible for promoting the area, between the banks of the Seine and the forest of Marly!
